MULTIINFARCT DEMENTIA is a condition which occurs in patients who have had repeated strokes.repeated cerebral infarcctions leads to disabilty related to mobility as well as cognitive reserves. patients can have memory loss as well as difficulty in speaking either it may be un clear or inabilty to recollect words and familiar names. these symptoms manifest i3 to 6 months after the stroke. symptoms follow a step ladder pattern.i.e there can be brighter datys as well as dull days. the common risk factors for this condition is diabetes mellitus, systemic hypertension and altered lipid levels control of risk factors is very important part of prevention .
