Falls in the elderly people are common. They have coexisting osteoporosis which easily results in fractures even after innocuous fall. Spinal fractures are common. They result in wedge compression one vertebra sitting over other like cheese sandwich. There will be severe pain and girdle sensation I.e tightness around abdomen.
